محترم محمد اشرف غیرت، سرپرست ریاست پوهنتون کابل درحالی‌که معاونان امور علمی و اداری پوهنتون نیز حضور داشتند روز دوشنبه مورخ 19 میزان سال جاری با "مرین دین کای‌دوم‌چای"، معاون دفتر (U N H C R) یا کمشنری عالی سازمان ملل متحد در امور پناهنده‌گان در کابل دیدار نمود.

در این دیدار معاون دفتر کمشنری عالی سازمان ملل متحد در امور پناهنده‌گان در کابل، به آغاز دروس در پوهنتون کابل اعلام هرنوع وعده هم‌کاری نمود و گفت که این اداره طبق تفاهم‌نامه‌ی که قبلا با پوهنتون کابل امضا کرده‌است به آن عده محصلین که به کشور عودت نموده‌اند و به لحاظ اقتصادی توان پیش‌برد تحصیل شان‌را ندارند مثل سابق کمک و هم‌کاری می‌نماید.

در این دیدار محترم محمد اشرف غیرت، سرپرست ریاست پوهنتون کابل از کمک‌های قبلی دفتر کمشنری عالی سازمان ملل متحد در امور پناهنده‌گان به پوهنتون کابل اظهار قدردانی نمود و بر تداوم این کمک‌ها تاکید کرد و هم‌چنان گفت که رهبری پوهنتون کابل خواهان کمک‌های بیش‌تر سازمان‌های بین المللی از جمله کمشنری عالی سازمان ملل متحد در امور پناهنده‌گان است.

پوهنتون کابل و کمشنری عالی سازمان ملل متحد در امور پناهنده‌گان در سال 2019 میلادی تفاهم‌نامه‌ی را امضاء کرده‌اند که بر اساس آن دفتر سازمان ملل متحد در امور پناهنده‌گان ملزم به ارایه بورسیه‌های تحصیلی برای پناهنده‌گان، پناهجویان و پناهنده‌گان اسبق افغان که به افغانستان عودت نموده‌اند می‌باشد.
