Workshop Conducted on "From Agriculture to Business: Pathways to Developing Agricultural Opportunities"

A one-day academic and practical workshop titled "From Agriculture to Business: Pathways to Developing Agricultural Opportunities" was organized by the Faculty of Agriculture at Kabul University.

The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance students' capacities in identifying commercial prospects within the agricultural sector, initiating enterprises with limited capital, and translating academic theories into viable business models.

Associate Professor Safiullah Johar, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and professional trainer, delivered a comprehensive presentation to the participants on realistic and feasible commercial opportunities in agriculture. He further elucidated methodologies for launching businesses with constrained capital, strategies for converting agricultural challenges into commercial prospects, and the foundational principles of evaluating and testing business concepts prior to investment. Additionally, he delineated the developmental trajectory of a student transitioning from the academic phase into a successful entrepreneur.

Throughout the workshop, students engaged in a series of practical exercises. Through these experiential activities, participants acquired the requisite skills in generating, evaluating, and implementing business concepts.

Officials from the Faculty of Agriculture emphasized that organizing such academic-practical initiatives is essential to ensuring that students, concurrently with their professional education, attain critical competencies in innovation, job creation, and establishing enterprises founded upon their academic expertise.
