Mission:

Providing quality education, research, and scientific services in various engineering disciplines to nurture specialized, creative, and committed engineers who can respond to the needs of society.

Duties of the Faculty of Engineering:

The Faculty of Engineering of Kabul University, as one of the country’s academic and specialized institutions, has the mission to train professional cadres, conduct scientific research, and provide advisory services, thereby playing a fundamental role in national development. The duties of this faculty can be outlined as follows:

  • Training specialized workforce: Educating students in various engineering disciplines to meet the scientific and practical needs of the country.
  • Research: Conducting fundamental and applied research in different fields of engineering and offering scientific solutions to national problems.
  • Advisory and technical services: Providing scientific and technical consultations to governmental and private institutions, especially in infrastructure and construction projects.
  • Enhancing academic capacity: Creating opportunities for the academic growth of professors and students through seminars, conferences, and international collaborations.
  • University–society linkage: Establishing connections between the university and executive sectors of the country to ensure the practical application of engineering knowledge.

Development of laboratories and scientific facilities: Equipping and expanding specialized laboratories for practical training and advanced research.
