The Deputy Minister of Academic Affairs Convenes a Session with Kabul University Faculty

The Deputy Minister of Academic Affairs of the Ministry of Higher Education convened an official assembly with faculty representatives and faculty deans of Kabul University.

The session was conducted in the presence of the University Chancellor and the respective Vice-Chancellors.

During the proceedings, Dr. Osama Aziz, the Chancellor of Kabul University, delivered a comprehensive briefing outlining the institution's academic framework, research initiatives, and recent institutional advancements.

In his keynote address, Sheikh Zia-ur-Rahman Madani, the Deputy Minister of Academic Affairs, emphasized the core ethical imperatives of piety, professional integrity, and conscientiousness in the execution of academic duties. Furthermore, he underscored the mandate for the rigorous implementation of the decrees issued by His Highness, Amir al-Mu'minin(May Allah Protect Him).The Deputy Minister expounded on the critical role of higher education institutions in national development, highlighting the esteemed status and profound civic responsibilities entrusted to the faculty. Addressing the professors, he stated that the development of the nation relies fundamentally on the sound upbringing and education of the youth—a mandate that remains an institutional obligation of the faculty .

He additionally urged the faculty to exhibit greater compassion in their interactions with students, reinforce student accountability, and proactively submit constructive recommendations regarding higher education  to the Ministry.

Concurrently, the deans of the respective faculties were instructed to establish systematic mechanisms to monitor pedagogical methodologies, address operational challenges, and escalate critical institutional matters to the Ministry via the university’s  leadership.
