A Summary of Kabul University Strategic Plan
Introduction:
Kabul University has gone through a path of ups and downs in development and evolution since its establishment. Responding to the needs of society through quality education plays an important role in producing and disseminating knowledge. The Strategic Plan Committee, in cooperation with the university leadership, developed the Strategic Plan for the years 1401-1405. This plan includes, in the light of Islamic rulings, national interests and the goals of the Ministry of Higher Education, the vision, the mission, values, analysis of internal and external environmental factors, development and selection of strategies, and finally an action plan and monitoring and evaluation mechanism to provide an effective response to the demands of society.
Vision and Mission:
Kabul University aims to become a more reputable scientific institution through research, education, provision of educational services, and promotion of practical knowledge according to international standards in the development and production of specialized and professional knowledge at the national and international levels.
Kabul University, utilizing new facilities and modern technology, is recognized as a unique educational institution by providing educational, scientific, research and stable development services, training professional and specialized staff, and conducting research in accordance with the needs of society at the national and international levels.

1- Developing scientific research, knowledge production and innovation
2- Improving governance and leadership, creating effective administrative systems and fighting corruption
3- Reviewing the development and compilation of curricula for various educational levels
4- Improving quality and maintaining academic credibility at the national and international levels
5- Developing and improving e-learning
6- Infrastructure improvement and development
7- Improving the capacity of academic staff members, employees, and students
8- Conducting policy-making research and collaborating in reviewing policies and scientific research programs
9- Creating and developing areas of cooperation with scientific and cultural centers at the national, regional and international levels

Strategies:
1- Implementation of all Islamic and administrative principles within the Kabul University environment
2- Preparing Kabul University for attracting elite candidates for the entrance exam
3- Creating and developing specialized professional education programs, such as master's and doctoral degrees, in line with the needs of the community
4- Establishing research centers to grow and develop national and international scientific research
5- Developing the academic curriculum using different models and transforming Kabul University into one of the most prestigious universities in the country, region, and the world
6- Empowering academic staff members with a quantitative and qualitative approach in line with a minimum ratio of (1/25) between students and professors
7- Providing educational services in national and international languages in order to facilitate the attraction and recruitment of international students through Kabul University scholarships
8- Creating research teams in various scientific fields in accordance with the needs of society in order to design and formulate major Islamic and national policies
9- Paying special attention to the socio-cultural program of Kabul University in order to create harmony and empathy among all employees of Kabul University and ultimately create an atmosphere of empathy and harmony among all different classes and professions of the country
10- Providing the basis for universities to recruit new academic staff members in a transparent and fair manner
11- Identifying challenges and problems in the process of adapting the credit system and using standard models for optimal use of this system
