Geology Department

Vision

The Department of Geology makes continuous efforts through continuous review and expansion of its educational, research and awareness programs in order to provide the highest levels of education and to train and present talented, competent, and professional geologists to the community.

Mission

  • To provide high quality education for the undergraduate students to obtaining professional positions in government, private institutions and industries.
  • Increasing awareness of Geology, environmental sciences and other disciplines.
  • To ensure Knowledge of earth sciences at the general level through educational programs.

Objectives

  • Introducing geologists, young and educated specialists to the community
  • Active contribution of the graduates of the department based on modern scientific and technical methods in the natural resources sector of the country
  • Advancement of professional technical affairs of government departments and natural resources sector of the country by the graduates of this department
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of natural resources figures and data of the country
  • Active participation of geology graduates in the development, exploration and prospecting of all natural resources of the country
