Vision Mission and Goals

Mission:

The mission of the Vice Chancellor’s Office of Academic Research is to develop and implement a dynamic and integrated research and publication system that advances knowledge, strengthens academic journals, promotes innovation, and supports research-led education across the university. The office is committed to providing comprehensive support services, infrastructure, and policies that enable high-quality research and scholarly publishing with meaningful academic and societal impact.

Vision:

The vision of the office is to position Kabul University as a leading research and scholarly publishing institution at the national and regional levels, recognized for excellence in research, high-quality academic journals, innovation, and knowledge production, and for its contribution to sustainable development and societal advancement.

Objectives:

The Vice Chancellor’s Office of Academic Research pursues the following key objectives:

  • To promote a strong and sustainable research culture at Kabul University.
  • To develop, standardize, and strengthen university academic journals in line with international publishing standards.
  • To support and manage research projects, grants, and funding opportunities.
  • To strengthen national and international research and publishing collaborations.

To increase the quantity, quality, and impact of scientific publications and innovations.
