Vision, Mission and Goals

Vision:
Providing specialized and professional education and research in Civil Engineering at the national and international level.

Mission:
Training specialized civil engineers with modern education and practical skills to meet the needs of society in various fields of Civil Engineering at both national and international levels.

Educational Objectives:
After completing the four-year bachelor program, graduates of the Civil Engineering Department, with the following competencies, will be able to work as civil engineers in one of the sub-disciplines of this department:

  • Ability to solve highly complex engineering problems by applying knowledge gained from scientific disciplines, mathematics, civil engineering, and related sciences.
  • Ability to analyze and use modern techniques, resources, and tools suitable for solving complex engineering problems.
  • Ability to design solutions for complex problems and to design components, systems, or processes that meet specific requirements or broader needs.
  • Ability to solve complex problems based on research and investigation by integrating professional knowledge with civil engineering responsibilities.
  • Ability to establish effective and confident communication to advance complex engineering activities.
  • Ability to understand the impacts of engineering decisions and apply professional ethics for sustainable development.
  • Graduates will be able to analyze, design, and construct residential buildings, industrial, civil, and commercial structures according to international codes, and will acquire the necessary skills in estimation and standard methods for implementing various engineering projects.
  • Graduates will be able to design and plan effective and safe transportation systems, contributing significantly to the country’s economy.
  • Graduates will be capable of designing irrigation systems including dams and canals, as well as designing urban water supply and sewage systems. They will also be able to manage surface and underground water resources.
