Telecommunication Engineering Department (TCE)

The field of telecommunications in Electrical Engineering works in the field of sending and receiving information using various telecommunication methods, which can be audio, video, computer data. Telecommunication engineering has greatly transformed human life by using high-speed and simple communication between two or more subscribers in different places.

The Telecommunication Engineering Department, which is one of the departments of the Faculty of Information and Telecommunication Technology, started its activities in 2007 at the same time with the beginning of the bachelor's program in the Information and Communication Technology Institute - ICTI and it was upgraded to a graduate department in 2016.

The Department of Telecommunication Engineering strives to be a pioneering, quality and credible educational authority at the national level by providing quality education, developing skilled and specialized human resources, creating a culture of research and sustainable development.

Mission

The Telecommunication Engineering Department strives to increase the satisfaction of dear students by offering up-to-date curricula and skills strengthening programs to train professional staff in the field of Telecommunication Engineering by continuously pursuing quality improvement, motivation to work meaningfully and supporting the professors of the department.

Objectives:

  • Telecommunication Engineering Department has the following goals for preparing students related to Telecommunication Engineering to prepare students with the necessary professional knowledge.
    • Training of professional staff with the ability to use the knowledge of mathematics, science and telecommunications engineering;
    • Ability to analyze, design, implement, maintain and manage telecommunication networks;
    • Ability to perform in multidisciplinary teams;
    • Ability to identify, develop and solve telecommunication engineering problems;
    • Understanding random signals and random processes for telecommunication systems analysis;
    • Ability to use new techniques, skills and tools needed to practice and apply telecommunications engineering;
  • Carrying out research activities to generate knowledge and solve challenges in the telecommunications sector.
