Preclinic Department
The preclinic department delivers fundamental veterinary medicine subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Medical Latin, Histology, and Embryology through both theoretical and practical instruction. This department primarily covers prerequisite subjects for veterinary medicine. In addition, its subjects contribute actively as prerequisite courses in the teaching hospital, particularly in the scientific diagnosis of vital physiological and biochemical parameters, histology, embryology, and topographic anatomy in surgery. The department is staffed with qualified academic members holding PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s degrees, along with one technician. The subjects offered by the department can also be utilized clinically as income-generating resources. Furthermore, the department actively participates in preparing anatomical models of various animal species. Through applied scientific research, the department plays an important role in addressing challenges faced by both governmental and private sectors. The academic staff of this department are committed to scientific activities, research, and community service. The department has strong opportunities for self-sustainability through the provision of subject-related services, consultancy, survey projects, applied research, and educational and training programs.
