Vision

A center of excellence for training of Pharmacy Doctors and Clinical Biologists and an academic center for researches in Medical and Pharmaceutical microbiology.

 Mission

Provide required knowledge and skills in the field of microbiology for the Pharmacy Doctors and Clinical Biologists. The Department also conducts and support scientific researches in the fields of Microbiology and Immunology and also tries to increase the capacity of academic and technical staff of the department. The academic and technical staff of the department tries to prepare the best theoretical and practical programs for Pharm. D students in the fields of Bacteriology, Virology, Parasitology, Mycology, Immunology and Clinical Microbiology. In this department we Provide information to the students regarding treatment and prevention of infections and also sterility control of Pharmaceutical products.

Objectives

The main objective of the department is training of students in the fields of Bacteriology, Virology, Parasitology, Mycology, Immunology and Clinical Microbiology to be ready to serve in the following areas:

  • Rational medicine use especially antimicrobial drugs.
  • Participation in diagnosis and prevention of infectious diseases, immunization against infectious diseases and conduction researches in Microbiology.
