Vision:

To establish the position of the Faculty of Sharia, Kabul University, as a credible academic and research reference in the field of Islamic and jurisprudential sciences; through the training of specialized, committed, and competent academic cadres at the national and international levels.

Mission:

The Faculty of Sharia, Kabul University, through offering standard educational and research programs in the fields of Fiqh and Law, Islamic Education, and Da‘wah, as well as through the scientific activities of other teaching departments, is committed to preparing the required cadres in the areas of judiciary, legal advocacy, preaching and guidance, higher education, national education sector, and contributing to the resolution of religious, legal, and social issues of the country.

Goals:

  1. To train specialized and committed cadres in the fields of Fiqh, Law, Islamic Education, Da‘wah, and Islamic Culture to serve society.
  2. To enhance the academic level of professors and students through teaching, research, and study in Islamic and legal sciences.
  3. To meet the academic and social needs of the country in the areas of judiciary, legal advocacy, Da‘wah and guidance, education, legal consultancy, and other related sectors.
  4. To promote scientific and applied research in Islamic sciences in order to address contemporary issues, critically examine various views, and refute misconceptions.
  5. To strengthen the culture of cooperation and partnership with similar faculties inside and outside the country for academic enrichment and exchange of experiences.
  6. To create effective links between employment institutions and graduates of the faculty to enable their active participation in the judicial, administrative, and social system of the country.
  7. Promoting and disseminating authentic Islamic culture and thought through research and teaching of Islamic Culture subjects across other departments of the university.
