National Economy Department

a. Introduction

In 1973 this department was called Development and Planning Department later on changed to National Economy Planning and finally got the name of National Economy Department.

Vision

National Economy Department is committed to providing quality education to undergraduate and postgraduate students which would enable them to serve this war-torn country.

Mission

National Economy Department as a valid and standardized academic center in the country is committed to educating students to be professional economists who could serve their country in a better way.

This mission is comprised of the following articles:

  • Providing a sound educational environment to the new generation.
  • According to the necessities of the situation, providing and implementing the standard educational curriculum.
  • Using up to the date teaching methods and skills to quality.
  • Using student-oriented teaching methods to better educate them.
  • To achieve goals, creating an environment of brotherhood and acceptance of each of other.

Department’s Basic Objectives

  1. To educate students to be able to develop economic policies and to provide economic consultations to governmental and non-governmental organizations.
  2. To educate students to be able to conduct academic research and to develop economic policies in the field of Macroeconomics.
  3. To educate students to be able to analyze, criticize, evaluate and consult governmental economic politics in the field of Macroeconomics.

 

c. Memorandum of Understanding 

Establishing World Business Organization (WTO)’s study center through financial and technical assistance and cooperation of European Union (EU) and International Business Center (ITC).

d. Laboratory and learning facilities

Faculty of Economics consists of one computer lab which can be used by all departments equally.
