Anthropology and Archaeology Department

Visions

The Department visions is to train young and professional cadres in the field of Anthropology and Archaeology in order to learn Modern Archaeology, renovated the old history, explain cultural values, Cultural Heritage, Heritage rolls in Economy and national identity, Archaeology rolls in the History of Afghanistan and in overall, knowing Afghanistan widely.   

 Missions

The Department is looking, to state as one of key departments in term of quality assurance, present effective services, doing research in the field of Anthropology and Archaeology in order to achieve the following aims:   

  • Present the knowledge of verity cultural identifications;
  • Conducting research in order to get updated information about Historical resources include them in the lectures and teaching materials;  
  • Provide professional and specified services in order to support relevant institutions and highlighted the cultural values and Arts;
  • Provide the most updated information about the recent archeological activities and professionals who are involve in the field of study.

Department’s goals

  • Provide standard teaching program for the Students;
  • Publish researched books according to the curriculum;
  • Conduct research to revise the curriculum, make it updated in order in meet students meets in professionalism;
  • Conduct seminars/Workshops about various topics (Culture, Society, History…),
  • Build up the connection among other institutions/ organizations in order to work in a joint program with professionalism;
  • Provide the Most updated information’s for student about Cultural Heritage, Culture and Anthropology and the tools to learn about the challenges and the way of overcome;
  • Publish research books/Journals in field of History, Culture and Cultural Heritage values;
  • Build up the academic connections of stakeholders such as; the Ministry of Information and Cultures, the Ministry of Rehabilitations and Kabul City Municipalities, Private Sectors, NGOs and International Organizations.
