Permanent Committees

In this directory, there are Ten official committees below:

Academic Council of the Faculty

The main purpose of this council is to bring together the academic members of the faculty to uphold high educational, ethical, and professional standards in teaching and research. It is chaired by the Dean, includes the Vice-Dean as the reporting officer, department heads, and two representatives from each department. Meetings are held at least once every 3-4 weeks. The council is responsible for academic decision-making and approving academic matters for further processing by higher authorities.

 

Departmental Committees

These committees are accountable to the Academic Council and include all academic staff members of each department. The relevant department head chairs the committee. Responsibilities include managing and overseeing administrative, financial, teaching, and research affairs within the department. They also ensure implementation of Ministry of Higher Education regulations. Meetings are held as needed, but at least twice per month.

 

Quality Assurance and Improvement Committee

Responsible for implementing quality assurance programs, self-assessment, and monitoring academic activities. Department heads are members. Meetings are held 3–4 times per semester or when required.

 

E-Learning Committee

A specialized committee responsible for leading, developing, standardizing, and supervising e-learning within the faculty. It plays an important role in improving teaching practices, promoting modern learning methods, and enhancing the digital skills of students and instructors.

 

Research Committee

Responsible for organizing research activities and projects. Members are departmental representatives. Its purpose is to keep faculty and students engaged in research activities. Meetings are held 3–4 times per semester or as needed.

 

Strategic Planning Committee

Responsible for designing strategic programs and plans for the faculty and departments. Members are representatives from each department. Meetings occur 3–4 times per semester or based on need.

 

Curriculum and Course Materials Committee

Responsible for reviewing, updating, supervising, and evaluating the curriculum. It may introduce new courses or remove unnecessary ones. One representative from each department is a member. Meetings occur 3-4 per semester or as needed.

 

Examination Committee

Appointed annually by the Faculty Council. Members include one representative from each department. The committee manages all examination processes, monitors mid-term and final exams, and ensures fairness and transparency. It is responsible for enforcing all examination regulations.

 

Discipline Committee

Also appointed annually and composed of representatives from each department. It handles disciplinary issues, investigates violations, and ensures order within the faculty. Meetings are held 3–4 times per semester or as required.

 

Cultural Committee

This committee organizes, strengthens, and promotes academic, cultural, and social activities among students and instructors. It arranges academic programs, seminars, scientific trips, and healthy recreational activities, and works to foster cooperation, creativity, and community engagement.
